I installed a 10-kWh LiFePO4 battery in my garage last spring, mainly to stop buying so much electricity during evening peak hours. My rooftop solar already covered daytime use, but the excess used to disappear into the grid for a pretty disappointing credit.
The installer handled the inverter and battery wiring in one afternoon, and the app showed charging almost immediately. We had one minor troubleshooting moment during a storm. The monitoring app showed the battery offline, even though the house still had power. I found that the Wi-Fi bridge had frozen after the router rebooted. A power cycle restored the connection in about five minutes, and the inverter continued following its schedule without drama.
