I did have one minor scare during the first week: the battery fell to 18% before bedtime. A quick check showed our teenager had run a space heater and gaming computer together. The system had simply reached its reserve setting, so nothing was broken. I raised the reserve slightly and changed our habits.

One search question also made me laugh: whether a “lifepo4 starting battery” was suitable for this job. It is not; this is a dedicated home energy storage battery, not a car starter. When comparing lithium battery options, I focus on usable capacity, inverter compatibility, warranty, and battery management settings.
