Very glad I installed a solar energy storage battery last spring, mainly to stop buying so much electricity during the evening peak. My rooftop solar system produces plenty around noon, but without storage I was still pulling power from the grid after dinner, when rates were highest.
I chose a 280Ah LiFePO4 battery after comparing cycle life, usable capacity, inverter compatibility, and warranty terms.
