I discovered the backup reserve had been set too high, so the system was protecting capacity instead of using it. The installer talked me through lowering that reserve to 15 percent, and the battery behaved normally afterward. That small lesson made me appreciate having clear inverter settings rather than blindly trusting the app.

Overall, the solar battery has not eliminated my electricity bill, but it has made it more predictable. I especially value the quiet automatic backup when the grid flickers. For my home, that practical peace of mind matters as much as the monthly savings.
